Winter Poems (textile book) - materials used: for the inside pages – vintage luxury quality cotton and aged brawn wrapping paper, for the cover: felted wool, vintage lace, cream glass beads, vintage Chinese embroidered handkerchief fragments

This book was inspired by a 16th century Spanish Reliquarium that can be seen at the V&A museum in London. For each portrait I created a possible back story, all based in interbellum Montparnasse. Thus, on the back cover I embroidered the name and occupation of each character.

Materials used: red velvet (from a recycled skirt bought at the flea market in Blackrock, Dublin), vintage photographs, golden thread, golden embossing paste, red silk, card for the interior pages, organza ribbon
